Give each address a purpose.
A clear address helps people know where a conversation belongs. Start with the roles your team actually needs, such as hello, orders or support. Choose a mailbox plan based on how many people and addresses you need to manage.
Keep control of your domain.
Your domain is part of your identity. Add it to your workspace and follow the DNS instructions for the service you configure. Receiving mail and sending authenticated messages use different DNS records, so review the complete setup before changing an existing service.
Choose a familiar mail client.
Hosted mailboxes can connect to an IMAP-capable email client. Use the hostnames and credentials supplied for your mailbox. An IMAP connection gives a mail client access to received mail; SMTP handles outgoing messages.
Grow one useful step at a time.
Start with the addresses that make today simpler. As your team grows, review your plan, mailbox capacity and access settings. The best workspace is one your team can understand and use with confidence.
